BRIDGEND & DISTRICT AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
Welcome to the home page of The Severnside Television Group.
We
are a group of amateur television enthusiasts, based in the City of Bristol in
the south west of England. Our catchments area covers the Bristol Channel,
lower River Severn and surrounding areas, including Cardiff, Newport and of
course Bristol itself. Membership is not limited to this area though as many
of our number come from further afield.
We
operate two television repeater stations,
GB3ZZ
in Filton in the north of Bristol and
GB3XG
a few miles south of the city.
A GUIDE TO ATV
This guide is intended for the Radio Amateur who is interested in Amateur
Television (ATV). No previous knowledge of ATV is assumed, and the largely
non-technical information will guide you through the mysteries of Aerials,
Cables, Connectors, Receivers, Transmitters, Repeaters and much more. It is
essential reading for anyone who has wondered whether they could participate
in the hobby of Amateur Television.
